Spiced Bourbon, Beer & Maple Martini

This is a very “wintery” martini, and it’s actually a cocktail by Giada De Laurentiis. It’s sweet and warming, and perfect for these chilly nights. The ingredients seem odd, but they honestly work, and I hope you sip on a couple of these with your friends this winter. New Year’s Eve is in a couple of days, and I can’t believe another year is under the belt. If you’re staying in on the big night, this might just be something to savor while you’re watching the ball drop!

What you’ll need:

  • 3 oz Knob Creek Bourbon (or quality Bourbon of your choice)
  • 1/2 oz Modelo Negro (or dark beer of your choice)
  • 1/2 oz Maple Syrup
  • 1 small dried red chile
  • dash of ground nutmeg

Combine Knob Creek, Modelo, Maple Syrup and red Chile in a Martini shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with a dried chili.
