Yummy! Spring cocktails are here! This one is called April Showers, even though it’s already May. but spring is spring, and the cocktail will work perfectly with sunny days, and even with the rains the spring brings us. It is light and fruity, pretty and delicious. I personally am a big fan of grapefruit and grapefruit juice, and the addition of gin works so perfectly with the sweet bitterness of grapefruit. You can make one at a time, but this cocktail is also great for making batches ahead of time. It’s a winner!
What you’ll need:
- 2 – 3 oz Hendrick’s Gin
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Agave nectar (adjust the amount to your liking of sweetness}
- 4 oz Florida’s Natural Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
- for garnish: lemon slice, grapefruit slice and/or edible flower
In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, gin, agave, lemon juice and grapefruit juice. Shake well. Strain into a Coupe glass and add garnish.
