Pre Theater Dinners NYC

I always feel so lucky that I live here in New York City. So much to do, so much to see. I work close to Times Square and to Broadway, and I frequently grab a bite to eat in the neighborhood. There are lots of chain restaurants and “tourist traps” there, and I usually make a beeline around them, but if you really do your research, you can find some pretty great spots out there. One thing that’s pretty common around that area, are Pre Theater Dinners. Those are generally 3 course pre-fix dinners that are timed perfectly right before showtime at the Broadway Theaters. Of course everyone can take advantage of them, and I frequently do. Here are three of my latest fun Theater dinners!

Estiatorio Milos

Estiatorio Milos has several locations, including one right on West 55th Street. I have always liked this restaurant, it is sprawling and beautiful, the service is impeccable. For $65 between 4 30 and 6 pm you can score an amazing 3 course dinner. choose one each from the appetizers like octopus or tomato dakos, from the second course you can choose from Salmon, Lamb Chops or Filet Mignon. Close out with a Greek Yogurt or a Walnut Pie. It is a fantastic deal, everything at this restaurant is so fresh and delicious, it’s a must!

Rosevale Kitchen

Rosevale Kitchen is a relatively new restaurant in the Theater District, and is located in the Civilian Hotel on 48th Street. This 3 course dinner will run you $60, and the food is not only delicous, but also plentiful. The selection of appetizers is great (Burrata, mussels and more). Main dishes are the likes of gnocchi in spicy vodka sauce, or roasted amish chicken. something sweet in the end comes as dark chocolate mousse or a lemon tart. I loved this dinner!

Bobby Van’s

Bobby Van’s Steakhouse also has several locations, I visited the one on 45th Street. Here you can score a 3 course meal for $55 between 5 and 10 pm. Some of the starters are Skillet Meatballs or Sweet Chili Calamari. Then feast on an Argentinian Steak or Braised Shortribs (Filet Mignon for an extra $5). The desserts are classics like Cheesecake or Brownie A Là Mode. A great dinner.

Other great restaurants with Pre Theater dinners are Le Rivage, Oceana or The Lambs Club
