DOTW: Irish Mule

I know, I know. St. Patrick’s Day has passed. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have great cocktails in the Irish spirit. I love a good old mule, and I’m happy about any variation I can find. I love this one! This cocktail is usually prepared with lime, but I was in a lemon kind of mood, so I changed it up, and it was 100% delicious. I hope you follow suit, and make yourself a couple this weekend. It’s really a special drink!

In a cocktail shaker, muddle 1 or 2 mint leaves. Add ice, whiskey and lemon/lime juice. Shake well and transfer into a copper mug. Top off with ginger beer. Garnish with lemon/lime slice and/or mint leaves.

Cheers!
