I love a good shrimp dish. Not only are shrimp low in calories, and pretty darn delicious, but most of the time, a shrimp dish is pretty fast and easy to make. This one is no exception. The recipe is a close cousin to Shrimp Scampi, with just a couple of additions. It’s very easy to make, even for a beginner at the stove. It is a perfect dish for a quick weekday dinner, or even for a friends and/or family get together. You will shine!

What you’ll need:
- 1 pound of clean, deveined shrimp
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup 1/2 & 1/2
- pasta or your choice
- Parmesan cheese

In a large pot, heat 2 tbsp of the butter. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Add 2 tsp of the garlic and cook for one more minute. Remove shrimp and garlic, and set aside. Add the remaining 2 tsp of butter, shallot, red pepper flakes, and the remaining garlic. Cook for 4 minutes.

Add white wine, stir, bring to a boil, then lower the heat to simmer. Simmer for 4 minutes. repeat the same step with the 1/2 & 1/2. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Add cooked pasta and stir to combine. Transfer the pasta and sauce to bowl, plates or a big serving bowl. Top off with shrimp mix. Add parmesan cheese if desired.

Bon appétit!
