#DOTW: Cucumber Rosemary Gimlet

Job temporarily closed? Working from home? Quarantined? The Corona Virus is wreaking havoc on America, and more and more of us have to stay home for one reason or another. I saw an article today saying that there are lines outside of liquor stores, as opposed to grocery stores, as people are preparing for a potential shut down of something or anything. I feel that. So. Have a drink or two, because most likely you’re not driving anywhere. Just make it a healthy one, because why not. This cocktail has some vegetables as opposed to sugary juices, so I deem it healthy-er, and definitely meant to break up the monotony of scary (and sometimes contradicting) news reports….. Be safe out there!

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz Hendrick’s Gin (or quality gin of your choice)
  • 1 oz cucumber juice (from a juicer)
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2 sprigs rosemary

In a cocktail shaker add one sprig of rosemary and the simple syrup and muddle. Add remaining ingredients and ice. Add ice to a highball or large rocks glass, and strain the ingredients of the cocktail shaker into it. Garnish with lime, cucumber slice and/or rosemary sprig.

Cheers!
