#DOTW: Apricot Blossom

Nothing says summer quite like rum does. Mix it with a delicious fruit, and you’ve got yourself a perfect summer drink. Apricot isn’t used often enough in my opinion, so I’m glad I got to utilize it in this cocktail. I had a bit of a hard time finding the Apricot liquor, so I ended up ordering it on Amazon. If you do the same, please be sure to check the fl. oz., I ordered a tiny bottle by mistake! But hey, I only needed enough to make a couple of drinks, so it was more than enough….

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz Appleton rum (or quality rum of your choice)
  • 2 oz brewed and chilled orange spice tea
  • 1 oz apricot liqueur
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • mint leaves, chopped

Combine all ingredients in a martini shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a mint leaf.
