Shrimp Fra Diavolo

This is another super easy recipe! And it tastes like you spent a whole lot of time cooking! You friends and family will be plenty impressed, I promise. The level of spiciness is up to you, I prefer a little kick to this dish, but you can make it spicier by adding more pepper flakes. I make this dish on weekdays for my family, or even on date night. It is low effort, high rewards!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pound raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 (28 oz) can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

In a skillet over medium heat add the olive oil and sauté the onions for 4 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.

Add the crushed tomatoes, salt, chopped parsley and red pepper flakes. Cook the sauce for 4 minutes.

Add the shrimp and cook for another 3 minutes. Serve with pasta of your choice (I used spinach spaghetti) and garnish with more chopped parsley.

Bon Appétit!
