#DOTW: Tomatillo Bloody Mary

Happy Weekend!! Going to brunch? Making brunch? Bloody Marys are an essential part of weekend brunch, and I really, really like them. I have made a few myself, and I just upped the game by making a Bloody Mary with Tomatillos instead of tomatoes. Can you say delicious? This is just so good. I garnished mine with a tortilla chip, just because it reminded me of green salsa, but be creative! Pick your own garnish!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pound tomatillos, trimmed and quartered
  • 6 oz yellow or orange cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and sliced thick
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Serrano or Thai chile
  • 2 oz Vdka 6100
  • fresh cilantro
  • 3/4 tsp green hot sauce
  • 1 tsp horseraddish
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp celery salt

Combine all ingredients, except the vodka, in a blender. Blend until very smooth. Fill a glass with ice, pour in Vkda 6100, add the tomatillo mix. Garnish and enjoy!
