Perfect Skirt Steak

I can cook just about anything, I swear, and it’ll taste great too. But when it comes to steak, I’m a little bit lost. I feel like I don’t have the right equipment, I end up making it too rear or too well done, it’s a problem. But I still want to eat steak at home! Every once in a while, I’ll find a good recipe, and I give it another shot, but I’m usually not impressed with myself. I finally set my sights on this recipe, and it came out so delicious! Of course I am passing it on to you!

What you’ll need:

  • 2 pounds of Skirt Steak
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp honey

Tenderize your skirt steak, or have your butcher do it for you. In a bowl, combine all ingredients (besides the steak of course). Place the steak in the bowl and cover it in marinade. Marinade up to four hours.

Uncover the steak, and heat a grill pan or iron skillet. Add oil to the pan an get it sizzling hot. Add the steak and cook on both sides for at least 2 – 3 minutes, depending on your preference of doneness.

That’s it! Just place it on a board and slice it. Add some more lime juice and salt, and enjoy!
