It’s the for a quick meal. A meatless meal. Labor Day just passed, and most of us were busy ringing out the summer on this three-day-weekend, so Meatless Monday is on a Tuesday in my house this week. It might be the simplest recipe I ever posted, but don’t get it twisted, it’s one of the most delicious as well. Just a few ingredients, and you will wow your loved ones in 30 minutes or less.

What you’ll need:
- I package of Barilla Spaghetti
- 1 can of whole La Bella San Marzano Tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 sprigs fresh basil

Prepare your pasta al dente according to the instructions on the package. Pour the tomatoes into a large pot. Squeeze the tomatoes with your hands into a sauce consistency. Add the olive oil and the salt. Simmer on low for about 10 minutes, covered.

Before draining the pasta, reserve half of the pasta water, and add it to the tomatoes. Stir the sauce well. Drain the Spaghetti and back to the pot. Add the sauce to the pasta, and stir well.

Twirl the pasta on a plate, then garnish with a basil leaf.
