Filet Of Sole Bordelaise

I grew up on this dish! I used to eat this all the time, growing up in Germany. My hometown is all the up north by the Baltic Sea, so fish was on the dinner table at least once a week. I have always loved this one. It’s not a pretty dish, but it’s so delicious! You can eat it with anything, even on a sandwich if you like. It’s easy, it’s fast, it’s pretty healthy.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 1/2 pounds of Filet of Sole (or any other white fish)
  • 4 tbsp of herb butter, soft
  • 4 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon slices and fresh parley for garnish

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Season the fish with salt and pepper. Add the herb butter, lemon juice, parmesan cheese and bread crumbs to a bowl and mix well.

Spray an oven proof dish with cooking spray. Spread the herb butter mix on both sides of the fish, the lay them into the dish, Bake for about 20 minutes. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley.
