DOTW: Whiskey Lemonade

It’s time for the refreshing cocktails! Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, the trees are blossoming, it’s 70 degrees, I feel like I am coming back to life. I’m so excited! I’m a big citrus fan, so a Whiskey Lemonade is right up my alley. The honey syrup is a delicious addition, and it is very easy to make. Serve this cocktail at your spring time get togethers, on your porch in the evening, or even on Easter Sunday!

What you’ll need:

for the honey lemon syrup:

  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 – 2 twigs rosemary

In a small saucepan, bring water and honey to a boil. Reduce heat, add the rosemary and simmer for 15 minutes. Let it cool.

In a cocktail shaker, combine whiskey, honey lemon syrup, and lemonade with ice. Shake well. Add ice to a cocktail glass and strain contents of shaker. Top off with club soda, garnish with lemon slice and/or rosemary twigs.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!
