DOTW: Jalapeño Paloma

This, at this point, is a traditional cocktail. Jalapeño has become fairly commonplace once it comes to cocktails. But of course I had to mix it up just a little bit! Traditionally, this cocktail is made with grapefruit seltze, simple syrup and fresh grapefruit juice, but I fell in love with grapefruit soda from Polar. Turns out that after you muddle the lime and jalapeño, it tastes pretty much identical. I also felt adventurous, and instead of the Tequila Blanco, I went with the Reposado. Regardless of which recipe you use, not only is this (of course) delicious, but it is also a gateway into the cocktail world of warmer weather. Because it’s right around the corner!

What you’ll need:

In a cocktail shaker, muddle slice of lime and a slice of jalapeño. Add ice and shake well. Add ie to a cocktail glass. (Rim with lime juice and salt if desired). Strain the contents of the shaker into the glass. Garnish with a slice of lime, and a couple of slices of jalapeño.

Cheers!
