DOTW: Spiked Strawberry Smoothie

I don’t know about you, but I’m entirely sick of winter. It was around 60 degrees the other day, and I was so happy. Duped, because of course it went back down to 25 degrees the very next day, but my yearning for spring was awakened. What’s a girl to do?? Make a spring cocktail and drink away your winter blues of course. So, I’m not entirely sure when strawberry season begins or ends, but at least here in New York, you can buy them year round. Ergo: a strawberry cocktail was enjoyed that cold winter night. OK, maybe two. I made it kind of like a smoothie, so it even felt a little healthy. I was a good night.

What you’ll need:

Add vodka, strawberry creme and half & half to a blender with ice. If you have lots of strawberries, throw in a couple fora more fruity taste. Blend well. Serve in a glass with fresh strawberries for garnish. If you don’t have a blender, you can also use a cocktail shaker, the cocktail just won’t be as creamy.

I have never missed an episode of the Bravo TV show. I have at this point visited almost 20 restaurants run by Top Chef contestants, and I'm continuously impressed by their skill, drive and passion. So I will continue to seek them out, and I hope you join me in my journey!
