#DOTW: Thanksgiving Sangria

Thanksgiving is near! I don’t know about you, but I’m struggling to decide which holiday I love more: Thanksgiving or Christmas? I’m a major foodie, so being that these holidays involve lots of cooking and baking, it’s a bit of a toss up to me. And yessss, cocktails…. We have to accompany the yummy dishes with some festive drinks, at least that’s my rule. I try not to make cocktails that a very strong, because most holiday get-togethers are family friendly, getting too drunk might be a little too much. So, a Sangria seems appropriate! I’ve tried it, loved it, and I highly recommend it. It’ll be a splash at your holiday party! And I love the fact that you can make plenty of it ahead of time, that way you have lots of time for cooking and decorating.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine (I chose Papi)
  • 8 oz Hennessy
  • 20 oz Apple Cider
  • 10 oz Oceanspray Cranberry Juice
  • apple slices, orange slices, cranberries

Combine all ingredients in a large Carafe, store in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (to let the fruit soak up the sangria). Stir with a large spoon before serving.
