#DOTW: Appleton Sunrise

Up here in the North East it got cold really quick. We had a rough summer here in New York, and I am ready for the fall. Cool temperatures, falling leaves, Halloween, Thanksgiving, these are some of the best times of the year. This Appleton Sunrise cocktail is another great drink for the the change of seasons in my opinion. It’s still summery enough with the rum and orange juice, but the colors are definitely fall-like, even Halloween-like. It’s sweet and delicous, a fun cocktail any way you look at it!

What you’ll need:

Add Appleton Rum and freshly squeezed orange juice to a cocktail shaker with ice, shake well. Strain into a Martini glass. Add a dash of grenadine, then slowly drop in a Maraschino cherry (slowly because you don’t want to disturb the color separation between the orange juice and the red of the grenadine).

Cheers!
