I love a good classic like a Margarita, but then again there’s always room for improvement. Or room to shake things up, and make a new version. I know it’s terrible, but I don’t like to drink a lot of water. I like things that taste good, and water just has no actual taste to it, so I usually drink seltzer (I like the bubbles), and I appreciate the flavored ones. I came across a new brand named Sovany, and I’m in love with their flavors. They don’t taste like an additive, but rather than the actual fruit, kind of like it was infused. Which of course, in true mixologist fashion, made me think of a flavored cocktail. I used the orange flavored one to make myself a Margarita with it, and it was delightful. Of course you can use any of their flavors, I’m 100% sure of impeding success!

What you’ll need:
- 1 oz Don Julio Silver
- 3/4 oz Agave Syrup
- 4 oz Sovany Brilliant Orange
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
Combine tequila, agave syrup and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Rim a cocktail glass with salt and fill with ice. Strain contents of the shaker into the glass. Top off with Sovany. Garnish with a slice of lime.
Cheers!
