#DOTW: Blueberry Spring Sour

Spring cocktails, people, let’s focus. It’s only the beginning of June, and it’s in the high 80’s, it’s so humid, you could cut the air. It feels like summer, but we have a few weeks to go. So, we’ll focus on spring cocktails for now. Light, refreshing, different. This one hits the mark, and I absolutely adore this cocktail! I’ve noticed that my cocktails tend to be “girly”, so I tried to come up with more drinks that appeal to the guys, but honestly, most guys are good with a beer, and the one that like cocktails are man enough to have a pink or purple one! People are evolving all over the place, and I just love it….

What you’ll need:

  • 3 oz Van Gogh Gin (or quality gin of your choice)
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz Lavender liquor
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • fresh blueberries
  • 1 egg white

In a cocktail shaker, muddle a handful of fresh blueberries. Add all other ingredients. DO NOT add ice yet. Shake the cocktail well until a foam builds. Now add ice and shake well again. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with blueberries.

Cheers!
