All I can say is yum-myyyy. This cocktail turned into one of my favorites instantly. It’s different, fruity, thirst quenching without being to sweet, and if you rim the glass with the salt/chili powder mix like I did, it takes on a bit of a Margarita quality. Note: All tequila is mezcal, but not all mezcal is tequila. sort of like all scotch is whiskey, but not all whiskey is scotch. So it’s sort of an umbrella liquor for the good stuff. Whenever you order Mezcal at a bar, it does taste a little bit smokier than tequila, and that exact taste meshes so well with the rosé and grapefruit, I promise you will love this!

What you’ll need:
- 2 oz Mezcal
- 1 oz rosé wine
- 2 oz grapefruit soda
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- salt/chili powder mix
- thyme sprigs
- fresh grapefruit
Combine Mezcal, rosé and fresh lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake well. Rim a highball glass with fresh lime juice, then dip into the salt and chili powder mix. Add ice and pour in mezcal mix. Add grapefruit soda. Garnish with a thyme sprig and grapefruit chunks.
Cheers!
