#DOTW: Winter Paloma

Just as I’m watching the snow starting to fall outside my window, I’m making this cocktail dreaming of spring. I guess until it actually gets here, I’ll have to ingest the sunshine called tequila! Being that tequila is made from agave, it’s one beverage that is potentially responsible for a good mood. So here we go! Enjoy!

Cheers!

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz Patrón Silver (or quality silver tequila of your choice)
  • 1 oz ruby red grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz club soda
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • sliced ruby red grapefruit
  • sliced lime
  • salt (optional)

Wet the rim of the glass with a slice of lime, then dip it in salt (if desired). Combine tequila, grapefruit juice and simple syrup and shake in a martini shaker with ice. Pour into a ice filled glass and top off with club soda. Garish with grapefruit and/or lime slices!
