Every once in a while I’m inspired to create a cocktail on my own, and here’s one of them! Vkda 6100 was kind enough to supply me with a bottle of their quality vodka, and I went to work. I infused the vodka in a Mason jar by cutting 2 apples into small pieces, and pouring enough vodka in to leave some room on the top for shaking the jar. I left it in the refrigerator for 12 days (anywhere from 7 to 14 days should do the trick), while shaking or stirring it once or twice a day. The vodka will take on a yellowish color. Now here’s the recipe:
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz VDKA 6100
- 1 oz E & J Apple cognac
- 1 oz Cran-Apple juice
Combine all ingredients and pour over ice into a Martini shaker. Shake well and serve in a Martini glass, garnished with apple slices.

Hello there, fellow foodies! My name is Erica, I was born and raised in Germany, and moved to the US, New York City to be exact, in July of 1987. I have worked most of my time here in the Big Apple as a bartender, but my true love is food. I cook just about every day, I search for good food everywhere, and pretty much always find it. Last but not least, you should know that I am a huge Top Chef fan. I have never missed an episode of the Bravo TV show. I have at this point visited almost 20 restaurants run by Top Chef contestants, and I'm continuously impressed by their skill, drive and passion. So I will continue to seek them out, and I hope you join me in my journey!
