Christmas Dinners in NYC

Christmas is still 4 weeks away, but if you’re thinking about eating out at one of the fabulous restaurants here in New York City, now would be the time to make reservations, they will go quickly. Here are some awesome establishments that offer Prix Fixe meals on Christmas Day, that I think are worthy of a reservation!

Sea Grill

This seafood restaurant has one of the best locations for a Christmas dinner. Located inside Rockefeller Center, it has a direct view of the skating rink and the beautiful Rockefeller Christmas Tree. They will be serving a 3 course menu for $125, $35 for children. The menu offers items such as Yellow Fin Tuna Tartare and Butter Poached Lobster.

Narcissa

Narcissa is a hidden gem. Their chef John Fraser, who also operates the Michelin Starred Dovetail, spoils us with a spectacular menu including Pork Belly with Brussels Sprouts and Steamed Bass with Cilantro-Mussel Stew. This 3 course menu is priced at $84 per person.

Brasserie 8 1/2

This French restaurant is located in the heart of Manhattan and offers the best value of my choices for Christmas Prix Fixe Dinners. For $65 per person you can treat yourself to such delicacies as Lobster Chowder and a Rack of Lamb.

As of last evening all five restaurants had reservations available, but I would strike while the iron is hot, these tables are going to be gone soon!

Merry Christmas!

Author: Gotham Foodie

Hello there, fellow foodies! My name is Erica, I was born and raised in Germany, and moved to the US, New York City to be exact, in July of 1987. I have worked most of my time here in the Big Apple as a bartender, but my true love is food. I cook just about every day, I search for good food everywhere, and pretty much always find it. I don't consider myself a food critic, I don't have the culinary background for that kind of expertise. I do however know good food, good chefs and good restaurants. I report back about my culinary adventures, and I choose to leave out my unsatisfactory experiences. We have enough negativity in our daily lives, I don't want to add to that. All the recipes in my FROM MY KITCHEN and DOTW blogs are cooked and prepared by me. All pictures are taken by me. I don't always eat everything you see in my pictures, but you bet your buns, I do try everything. Last but not least, you should know that I am a huge Top Chef fan. I have never missed an episode of the Bravo TV show. I have at this point visited almost 20 restaurants run by Top Chef contestants, and I'm continuously impressed by their skill, drive and passion. So I will continue to seek them out, and I hope you join me in my journey!
