If you think this picture is blurry, shaky, maybe a little meh, then you're correct. Why? Because at this point I was probably a few Hurricanes in. When I say Hurricane, I mean the official cocktail of New Orleans. However. Charbroiled Oysters are an absolute must in NOLA, they are possibly made in heaven, just like the Hurricanes.

Of course you can't go to New Orleans without having Emeril's gumbo. And I did. So good! I made it several times, following his recipe, and it's outstanding. His recipes are ALL amazing 👏

My favorite meal in New Orleans was my birthday lunch at Compére Lapin! This Hot Fire Chicken was unbelievable! 💘
