It’s still a little bit cold here in New York City, Spring is dragging its feet. But that’s no reason to hold off on the refreshing summer cocktails! One of my first ones this season is this super delicious Blood Orange Whiskey Sour. Blood oranges are not always easy to find, but do make the effort, it is so worth it. As usual this cocktail is easy to assemble, no need for master mixology here.
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
- 3 to 4 oz freshly squeezed blood orange juice
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all ingredients and shake well. Fill a cocktail glass with ice, then strain contents of the shaker into the glass. Garnish with a slice of blood orange
