And here we are: my favorite time of year has arrived. It’s Christmas! It’s without a doubt my favorite holiday (with Thanksgiving being a close runner up). All the cooking, decorating, time with friends and family makes my heart full. But a cocktail is a must. Even if, for some reason, you spend the holidays alone, cocktails are a huge and welcome addition to the Christmas season (or Hanukkah, or whichever holiday is celebrated by you and your family). We haven’t had a White Christmas here in New York City for a while, so let’s pretend, and let’s make our cocktails look like a snowy day, it works for me. This one is of course delicious, pretty and very easy to pull off, even if you are entertaining a large group. Let’s party!
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz Absolut Vanilla vodka
- 1 oz Creme de Cacao
- 2 oz Rum Chata
- Simple Syrup and powdered sugar for the rim
This is easy breezy. In a martini shaker combine vodka, rum chats and creme de cacao over ice. Shake well. Dip the rim of a coupe glass first in simple syrup, then in powdered sugar. Strain the content of the shaker into the glass.
