Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and some of you will need ideas on what to serve for cocktails, and of course I’m chuck full of ideas. Wine is great, maybe some eggnog is gonna start making appearances, but for me, a whiskey sounds like a perfect Thanksgiving drink. Of course it must be mixed with holiday goodies to fit the occasion, and this spririted treat delivers just that!
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz of Maker’s Mark Bourbon (or quality Bourbon of your choice)
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz Maple syrup
- cinnamon powder
- lemon peel
In a cocktail shaker combine Maker’s Mark, lemon juice and maple syrup with ice. Shake well. Add ice to a highball glass or large rocks glass, and pour in mixture. Add a couple of dashes of cinnamon powder on top. Garnish with a lemon peel.
