#DOTW: 4th of July Cocktails

Advertisements

It’s gonna be a hot one, guys! Looks like most of the country is going through a heat wave, and Independence Day is going to be a scorcher. If you’re having a BBQ or similar festivity for the Nation’s Birthday in your yard or on your deck, you wanna make sure you have the cold drinks ready to go. Need some fun ideas for extra cold cocktails? Of course I have some for you….

Cheers!

Prosecco and Ice Pops

What you’ll need:

So simple and delicious: Pour half a glass of prosecco and add your favorite ice pop. It keeps things chilled and sweet!

Red, White and Berry Firecrackers

What you’ll need:

This cocktail is light and delicious, but it does take a little time and patience. The cocktail is supposed to come in three layers (blue, white and red), and apparently I’m not that much of a crafty person. As you can see above, my lines are VERY blurry. Nevertheless, it’s amazingly delicious and refreshing, so I felt this needed to be posted, and hopefully you do a better job layering the colored slushies!

In a blender or slushy machine combine each layer with ice, Smirnoff Ice Red White and Berry and a) Blue curaçao for blue, b) lemonade for white, and c) grenadine for red, Layer to make the colors of the flag, then add a Firecracker Ice Pop upside down.

Happy 4th of July!!!
