It's been a while since I've had amazing food like this grilled octopus, but things are looking up. I'm anxiously awaiting my turn for the vaccine, and I'm already on the waiting list. I've been lounging until I can go back to work, but even that gets old. I smell spring, work, and great dinners around the corner...
On one of my many trips to Brooklyn, I came across Bien Cuit, a lovely little bakery (which has now expanded to several stores), and it was elegant, French, and even a little earthy all at once. I've since tried a few of their pastries and breads, and I give them a big fat stamp of approval 👍👍.
BBQ restaurants are of great importance here in NYC, most of us don't have a backyard, no space for a grill, never even mind a smoker. So we eat out! Most New Yorkers eat or order out every day anyway. Gotta love Hill Country BBQ, where you can basically design your own meal. 👌
Just when @barbutonyc finally relocated, boom there came Covid-19, and everything closed down. Keeping my fingers crossed for a re-opening soon. I'm itching to have some of these Bucatini Alla Carbonara (or whatever else is on the menu).

It's getting waaaarmer! I can feel energy refueling my body and mind. I'm definitely a sufferer of the winter blues. The high 40"s after this dismal winter seems like the Caribbean to me. And of course I see Icecream on the horizon.
