From My Kitchen: Salmon Teriyaki

Lord knows, I love me some salmon. My biggest issue is that it is hard to find new recipes for it. I don’t want to get tired of it. Then one of my coworkers had Salmon Teriyaki for lunch, and a lightbulb went off. I have a Teriyaki recipe in my folder since forever, so I just paired it with salmon, and I never looked back. It will be a mainstay in my collection of recipes, and once you tried it, I bet you will hang on to the recipe as well. Did I mention how easy this recipe is?

What you’ll need:

Start by making the teriyaki sauce by combining the sake, Mirin, soy sauce and brown sugar. Set aside. Heat one tbsp of canola oil in a frying pan. Once the pan is hot, lower the heat to medium and add the salmon filets skin side down.

Cook the salmon for 4 minutes, then turn them over and cook them for another 2 minutes.

Remove the salmon from the skillet. Add the Teriyaki sauce to the skillet and heat it. Return the salmon to the skillet and cook it in the sauce for another 2 minutes. Serve in a bowl or with rice.
